NEW Dance have been working in partnership with Fallen Angels Dance Theatre (FADT) at HMP Berwyn.
Following a very successful and inspiring series of sessions and performance at the prison in March 2019, the NEW Dance trustees agreed that NEW Dance would use some of its own funds to enable the project to continue until further funding was secured. Several interim sessions ran throughout July and August, with a view to keeping up the momentum of participation and enjoyment which was evident from the first run of sessions.
Rachel Gittins commented, "Working in HMP Berwyn has been a huge highlight of my year and since completing the performance I have returned to the group to watch their “open mic night” (amazing/hilarious), which meant a lot to them!!"
Rachel and Paul can't wait to get back inside!
